Christiansen Family Pictures

This is a friend of ours her name is Autumn and she works at Bio life with David and the other Day she needed Family pics done for Mothers Day and she asked me to take them . I was so nervous I haven't done pictures of someone elses family before and I haven't done other peoples children. And the Day she needed them done there was maximum of 95 mile per hour winds on ogden and because of this dust was everywhere and was blocking out the sun. So to say the least not the best day to take pictures but  I took on the challange anyway. We went to Ogden parkway for the pics.

their little boy Ridger was scared of me and everytime I would get close to take a close up shot he would run away or hide behind something. After having some frustrating pics he Finally got it that I was not there to hurt him and he finally started to relax. I asked him to be a tough guy in this picture by having him cross his arms
The key with kids get into character and then they will to.

Their Daughter Amberlee  was tricky she is Evias age and is so Wiggly and gets distracted easily so most of the shot I got of her were candid shots.

I got some pictures of  josh and Ridger throwing rocks in the river if you look close you can see the splash of the rock.

This one is one of my favorites.

Most of these pics did not turn out because he kept letting go of his sister and she would start crying when she would fall by this time the kids were ready to be done and so was Evia she was screaming by the halfway mark.

This is one of the only one of 10 shots that i took that had ridger looking at the camera and smiling. Lets just say this was a great learning experience for me. I just hope I can do much better next time. These pics I know I could have done a much better job but it was my first time.

Morning Walks

Every morning at eight thirty me and a few neighbor ladies take our kids on a walk. I am trying so hard to get into shape and this has helped motivate me alot so far i have lost six pounds.  I am the last person they pick up and we usually go to this beautiful cemetary by my house. It was freezing today and it started to snow during the walk but here are some pretty shots I took on our walk today. There is an alley that we go through to enter the mortuary and the fence line is covered in grape hyacinths. I love these flowers when we were little me and my sisters would make mudpies with the flowers in them, and we would tell my mom and dad that we were making blueberry pancakes.

Evia all bundled up for the ride.

There are alot of old freemason graves I liked the emblem on this particular one .
and yesterday we found some graves from the depression and a Vietnam Vet who had died serving  our country and won a purple heart.

These are some of the few older  headstones that are above ground but for the most part the rest of the mortuary has flat gravestones. So sometimes the graveyard doesn't even seem like one it feels more like a peaceful park.

Ever since my sisters have passed away I have deep respect for these places. To me these places are sacred and should be treated with respect . So every time we go if we see an  grave ornament that has fallen over or a vase or a flag is crooked we try to go fix it.

Tie Die Fun Dude !!!

Ketty came down from school yesterday and we just randomly went to Walmart and went and got some shirts and some tie dye kits, I haven't done tie dye since  the first year of college so it has been a while. These ones were nice because at school we did it the old school way in pots and pans with vinegar and home made dyes . These dyes were so awesome just add  water and squeeze onto the shirt it made life much simpler? Plus I don't think our landlord would appreciate buckets of dye lying around on his carpet. combine that with my clumsiness and that is not a good combo .We had such a blast as we watched Avatar and dyed our shirts. I also dyed two onesies for evia so she could be groovin as well.

Ketty showin me how to do the spiral technique. The only problem was  we wound them to tight so most of the shirts turned out white.

The key is to saturate saturate saturate !! I am just glad my table is black!

Now my hands look like I have gang green  AAAAHH!!

It was like Christmas waiting to see how they would turn out

I was so excited for this shirt I  thought it would be perfect, but again I wound it up to tight as what looked like this ........

Ended up looking like THIS weird huh? Oh well I guess we will just have to try it again.

Ketty's shirt I think turned out pretty cool it wasn't to much like a Joes Crab Shack shirt, she also did another shirt, socks, and some underwear  she is so funny.

This one turned out the coolest Maybe I will make some for chloe and the three other tanner girls that are expecting little girls.

Are you feelin the love?

KT took thus shirt and folded it like a fan it turned out looking like Bamboo it was cool!!
