Prepping for paint

David picked up the pressure washer and as soon as he got home he started right to work on removing the old paint he was covered in paint chips and had a grin from ear to ear david loves working hard and I love that about him so much we chose a really pretty color grey with a red door look . It looks very nice and it will be awesome once we can get a fresh coat of paint on it we are hoping to have it done before evias 2nd birthday party. Tommorow I will take pictures of the aftermath.Y once pretty garden is now littered with latex paint shrapnal.

Haircut day

Poor titan looked so hot in the backyard so I decided to give him a bath and since we were on a roll david took on the monumental task of trying to contain our wiggly 70 pound dog. Luckily we had peanut butter filled pretzels that he loves so we used them as bribes. David used some clippers and about two hours later here was the aftermath. I just was happy it was warm enough to wash him outside and not in our bathroom even after you would clean it you could still find hair everywhere.

We could have made a blanket out of all the fur we got off of him!

Cacias Craft Corner

Want to add some vintage flare to your kitchen ? All I did to make a cute decoration for my countertop was taking the label off of a morton salt container and I stuck it in a frame I have also seen really cool collages or frames with cereal box front in them it adds color and creates a fun feel to your kitchen. And now days cereal companies are making  blast from the past cereal box containers, such as wheaties and cheerios. sorry this post isn't that exciting I am working on other crafts though and will post newer creations.

All Girl

My Evia is all girl I have caught her trying to paint her toenails with all sorts of items  here are a few

Crayons,Peanut butter,markers,soap,glitter,hot gluegun stick,pencil, paintbrush and  tonight she painted her toenails with the peanut butter and when she squished it in between her toes she laughed hysterically. I just let her do it because I might have my first case of bronchitis and I did not feel like fighting her creativity

Bree I am doing this post for you I think you will get a kick out of it!!When we moved into musser court we met emily and gary across the street and when we met them they were nice and kosher to us but as the months went by Emily just got meaner and ruder. When our furnace went out and we had no heat mom and dad came by to help us put in a new furnace and parked in our neighbors parking spot so we could get the furnace through the front door. Well after dada and david got the new furnace working the furnace started to smoke from it burning off the paint so I opened the front door to let out all of the smoke and the next thing I knew my neighbor was yelling at me from the driveway. She was livid we were in her parking spot which technically our driveway is city property to legally anyone can park there she  started yelling at me in front of everyone about how inconsiderate I was and what bad neighbors we were. AKA she was being a witch and later told david that she was a witch. I have tried to make amends for whatever horrible thing I have done to her. I even said hello to her once in the yard and this is what she said. and I quote " Acacia I can't do this! this whole small talk thing is not working I am very mad at you right now  and I don't want to talk . shocked at being yelled at for saying hello I then told her "I am so sorry I don't know what I have done to offend you but if you just tell me I could try to do better" She then told me she wanted to sometime make amends and talk our problems over some coffee. David later came home and said over my dead body! I still don't know what I have done to make her hate me  maybe it is because I have a hot husband and a beautiful daughter ? Or because I am  happy and she is not? Who knows and still after months of not going in my front yard  because I am afraid she will attack me I have decided to take a stand. I am not going to be run over anymore and so today I think I figured out what her problem is. We pulled up the driveway and noticed their cars were gone I looked over and saw a disturbing site  in their garden . So I went through the gate and took some pictures to tell everyone I have proof  my neighbor is really a witch or head hunter either or. She had stuck childrens dolls on stakes and barbie doll makeup heads in her garden to scare all of the birds away. Yep I have proof It has nothing to do with me it is all her!!

 

 

 

 

Happy 25th Birthday David!

Today david turned 25 he is a 1/4 of a century  yesterday we went to dinner with shaun and nat to rodizio grill . The food was wonderful and since david had not eaten all day and pulled a twelve hour shift needless to say he was starving. What better way then to eat a buffet of meat. And  I was finally sneaky and asked our waiter  to sing the most embarrasssing birthday song ever. when they sang that  loud boisterous brazilian chant to david he turned 4 shades of red and when they stopped evia was still clapping and asked for them to do it again .it was hilarious and so cute then we walked home and had marshmallows and cake and  I must say the cake turned out funner than I expected. I saw a cool rainbow cake on facebook a while ago and david thought it looked cool so I thought I would give it a try and it turned out awesome and it matched the fun decorations I made out of evias construction paper. Evia also painted daddy a picture and learned the birthday song. The only problem was she got bashful and would not sing it to daddy. For davids prizes we found an awesome deal on a kitchen aid on ksl he has wanted one forever and he deserved it. By the end of the evening all of us were so tired and slap happy  that nothing we were saying was making any sense so we decided to call it a night. And luckily we celebrated yesterday because I have had a high fever all day and am feeling miserable. I hope my sweetheart enjoyed his birthday and we will make all sorts of goodies with his kitchen aid to come. So Babe heres to you!!!!

Ogden Temple

Davids Grandpa Nate is a sealer in the ogden temple  we went to the temple the last day it was open for the renovation.It was so spiritual and such a wonderful experience to do sealings together as a family. I wish we could do it every week. It helps put life in perspective and the things that you think are important really are not . What truly matters happens behind those temple doors with the ones you love. This is the last time you will see the temple looking like this. I have been close to this temple my whole life and it will be so strange but refreshing to see what the temple will look like when it is done. Paul an Joann were also married in this temple and it was sweet to see the two of them kissing for Nate  like they were newlyweds.

Easter Fun

I know my posts are way way late I have been trying to figure out how to add my gmail account to the blog so I can log in on my account not davids and we finally got it worked out!! yippee I promise hereby to be more diligent in getting posts up as soon as possible. But here are some of the events that were not posted.

Easter here are some cute pics of evia having a hopping good time! She loved looking for the eggs and once she found them all she would dump the bowl and pick up the eggs again. We also had a  very fun hunt at the tanners but our camera was not working so I will have to get pics from nate of  that event.

 Evia tried to eat the bubbles like the nummy ones in the bathtub ... ya it did not taste so well in the end!
