Thanksgiving Ideas

We are having thanksgiving at the Paul and Joanns house this year so I won't have to decorate yippee!! But here are some fun Martha stewart ideas for in the next upcoming Thanksgivings. I LLOOVVE Martha Stewart !! She has major OCD but she has beautiful holiday decor and recipes. I hope you  enjoy these ones I found on her website. This is a pumpkin pudding inside of a tiny hollowed out pumpkin cute idea huh.

Here are two very pretty ideas for name cards for the plates, so simple but yet so pretty. The top is a seed and the bottom one is gilded pumpkins.

Canadian Surprises

This time of year is a time to be thankful and greatful for all of the small things we enjoy in our lives. especially our loved ones and the gospel. i want to say thank you to all family members, friends  and and members who have sacrificed their time love and money to help us. Without your help we would not have so many of the wonderful things that keep us afloat like food and clothes etc. I was so worried when it started to get colder because we didn't have any money to get Evia a jacket to keep her warm when  outside. Lately all of davids checks have been going straight from his account to pay off bills and we have barely had any left over for gas money and tithing. And i have tried to sell my baby headbands and that is not going so well. So a week or so ago I called my sister Breanna in canada  and confided in her, while we were talking she asked me what colors of coats I like. It turns out she wanted to help us by buying evia a coat. I lost it and burst into tears feeling so greatful that my little girl would be taken care of. Thankyou  Bre for the coat it came in the mail the other day and it looks darling on her the hood is still big but she will grow into it. And the ears are adorable Now we are ready for winter.

Ever since her lion halloween costume she hates having stuff on her head especially hoods

Happy Birthday Mumsey

My  mumsey had her birthday on saturday and I  came and hung out with her. She is the best mom in the world. She has sacrificed so much for us and has raised us to be the best that we can be, she has been through so much, things that no one should have to go through . Some kids when they were little had singers and comic book chracter as heros but my mom still to thi day is my mom.

Snow Day

It snowed like crazy the other day and titan went crazy this is the first real snow he has had . I woke up and looked out the window to see him digging like crazy at the snow and he would chase snowflakes opening and closing his mouth trying to catch the flakes. He was rolling around in it and didn't care that it was absolutly freezing outside.

It was so fun I was able to spend a clod morning with my little girl being a mom is the best job in the world

 

Evia has just started to find out where her hands are and she sucks on her fists and thumb non stop.  I think by the time she is five she will have eaten her fists!! In the middle of the night she wakes me up with her smacking noises. And her outfits are usually wet by morning

Mad homemaking skills

When me and david had our first wick apointment a woman from Utah state came over and asked us if we would like to have a woman from  utah state who would come to our and teach me recipes and  teach me about nutrition while nursing.Today Ginny my nutritionist came and she taught me how to make french bread and it was so much easier than what i thought  and when they came out of the oven I could hear a halleluia chorus the loaves turned out perfect!! When david came home he was so excited to see I had done this and he took the first bite and loved it.

I also made a pork roast and it turned out perfect as well!! I think instead of a green thumb I think I was touched by marie calanders he he.  Also another thing Evia has been doing lately she has been sucking on her fists, ans her sucking noises wake me up in the middle of the night. And she is starting to talk more it is so much fun. She is so active i love it when she gets bigger she will be running circles around me and david she will definatly keep us our toes.

A Day at the Zoo

 

Me and  my sister Mequette  went to the hogle zoo on saturday . She invited me down so she could go to a vetrinary  carreer day. It was so  cute she even paid for me to get into the park . Once we got there we went and  saw the new baby elephant that was the newest edition to the zoo. The baby was so cute and he was 251 pounds when he was born ouch!! I cannot  imagine how much that hurt!!

 

 

The zoo was filled with babies there was a new baby girraffe ,monkey, the elephant, and three baby tigers. If i would not have had Evia with me I would have become so baby hungry.

Those leaves can be hard on the digestive system

I was so sad the lion fountains were covered I wanted to do a tribute to lion king with Evia. And when we went  to the foosa exhibit  we had to leave the stroller outside I feel old now because I had to park in stroller parking I never thought that would happen at age 21 crazy he he.

 

 

 

I can't beleive she can still fit in that turtle shell!! I remember this was the same  turtle shell that my mom and dad made us hop in at our fist time at the zoo.

Those eggs were alot smaller than what I remember  but they are just the right size for Evia.

We went to find some of the lectures for the caree rday but by the time we found out where it was  we missed it but mequette talked to one of the  speakers afterwards and she got all the information that she needed .I had such a fun time with my sister then after the zoo  we went to Layton hills mall and went jean shopping  we went to a store called Skinz. This store is really cool and since it was saturday it took us forever to get a  dressing room. She found some cute jeans and two cute sweaters  at JC Penny and some other jeans at vanity. She got these outfits because she had a date to meet her friend ricks parents. But when we came back to my house  she found out she left her skinz jeans at vanity so she had  to drive back to the mall  uh oh.

On Halloween when we went to my friend danielles house we  happened to meet one of her friends who we did not know.He came up to us and we started to make small talk then I left to change the baby and he resumed talking to david. they then started to talk about a job opening at wild cat storage facility in north ogden. We found out that  if you work at the storage unit facility that there is house that is on the  property that would be rent free and utility free. It is a one bedroom 2.5 bath  house. If we wanted to plant flowers or do anything to fix up the property they would pay for it. We would however have to stay there for a few years but it would work for our school schedules and it would be an extra 650.00 a month we would get because we would not have to pay rent. So David called the lady who is a manager her name was Cari and when David called she was very impressed with us . The next day we went to the south Ogden facility to have an interview with another owner named Doug he was very nice and he thought we were wonderful candidates  and we went home confident that our fasting and prayers had paid off. we find out if we get the job Tommorrow so waiting all day not knowing what will happen I am nervous and antsy. David went to the north Ogden facilty to see what it looked like so here are some pictures to show you of the house.

Sunday we took Evia to church and it was her first real day at church she was so good and slept through most of the meetings she is such a wonderful baby  and caught the attention of the ladies in releif sociey. Most of the other women who have had babies in the ward have had boy we have had eight boys born and a few more on the way,s so we already have moms wanting to match up their sons with Evie he he it is like and LDS fiddler on the roof.

Look how cute her outfit is she is 11 weeks and still fits in newborn clothes!!

Halloween 2009

On Halloween I went and took the baby for a stroll around the neighborhood and took fun fall pictures and pictures of fun decorations these were hanging in the trees at our bishops house

This house was really cool it had a plywood witch that had been painted in the front yard my sister Bree should try this next year

I love fall there is nothing better than crisp fall air and the sound of crackling leaves under your feet. There  are some cool big trees in our neighbor hood and since we dont have any big trees in our yard  I took Evia on a walk and found a pile  of leaves for her to kick her legs in. She loved the sound of the leave and would smile alot. It was so cute!!

This is one of my old roomies and good friend Danielle and her husband adam we went to a halloween shindig at their house. It was alot of fun she had the house decorated in a deep south swamp theme and in the background her TV was  old silent halloween  movies such as dracula and I am legend. it was really cool. She also made a delicous shrimp gumbo and kfc chicken which is a very good combo. But before we left we had some trick or treaters come and we had no candy because david snitched it a few weeks before. Note to self don't buy candy until the day of Hallowen. So I gave the kids some of the cupcakes I made for danielles party. Now I know what you are  thinking, isn't giving kids fresh baked goods make you seem scary?  would the neighbors think we put something in them . well no need to worry the kids that came came with their parents and we actually used to be there primary teachers so the parents knew it was ok.We were a hit and the kids loved them i was glad we left for the party cause then word would get around that we had the best treats in the neighborhood.

Evia hatd her costume so we did not put it on her until we got to the party but as soon as we put her in it she screamed bloody murder. We wanted to take  a  family picture but by the time she got done screaming she wore herself out and fell asleep, so we took a picture of an empty costume by fluffing up the costume to make it look like she was in it.

Time to eat a halloween treat

Adam is amazing at pumpkin carving and he sells his pumpkins to people i have never seen cooler pumpkins. He is very talented, can you tell what it is? It is the death star from star wars

Soon Evia got tired so I clicked my ruby slippers three times and we went home
